Our company is in an exciting growth phase where we are launching new products, expanding our team, and reaching new markets. We have doubled in size (about 50 to 100 employees) and our finance and admin teams are building strong foundations to keep pace with that growth. We seek a Finance and Administration Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset to lead these teams and be responsible for the day-to-day management of their activities. This position reports directly to the CEO and will support the management of the company and individual business units. Responsibilities will be both hands-on and managerial. Integral Molecular supports employee work/life balance with flexible work hours and telecommuting options; this position is expected to be on site about half time.

Responsibilities 

  • Finance and Accounting 

  • Oversee AP and AR 

  • Approve payments, invoices, and allocations 

  • Administer NIH grants and contracts 

  • Coordinate internally and externally with tax, auditors, and advisors 

  • Manage banking, finance, and reconciliation activities 

  • Administration and Human Resources 

  • Oversee admin and HR teams 

  • Oversee facilities operations 

  • Keep and update personnel records 

  • Prepare, enter, and administer payroll 

  • Business Management 

  • Support corporate structuring and business unit management 

  • Help new business units start and become independent 

  • Analyze business performance and product line P&L 

  • Administer purchasing budgets, allocations, and negotiate pricing 

  • Support business units, sales, and marketing with budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates should have a demonstrated history of entrepreneurial activities, managing a team, and an interest in learning and growing 

  • Mastery of QuickBooks, Excel, and MS Office are required 

  • Aggressively detail-oriented with expert analytical thinking skills 

  • Supervisory experience is required 

  • Experience with non-profit NIH grants/contracts management is helpful but not required 

  • An understanding of scientific research is useful but is not required 

  • BA/BS; MBA, CPA, or MS in business field preferred
