Job Description:
GRID is looking for an exceptional individual to support GRID’s administration of California’s solar incentive program for single-family homeowners: the Single-family Affordable Solar Homes (SASH) program. Since 2008, GRID has administered the SASH program, which provides incentives to solar projects for low-income homeowners throughout CA while also supporting broad community engagement with solar, providing household energy education, and creating workforce development opportunities through local hiring initiatives. The Program Manager will provide internal and external coordination and oversight for SASH to ensure program goals are met. The position may expand to include management of other GRID-administered programs in the future.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Implementation, Oversight, and Regulatory Filings
- Maintaining program handbooks and program implementation plans
- Drafting advice letters, and other regulatory filings to the CA Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for program modifications, and inclusion of a third-party ownership model in the programs
- Coordinating internal teams to meet all SASH program requirements. This includes workforce development; marketing, education and outreach; energy efficiency education and referral requirements, project inspection requirements, and installation goals throughout the state
- Supporting internal roll-outs of new programs or updates to existing programs
Budgeting and Program Reporting
- Tracking and reporting publicly on program results and impacts
- Tracking and managing GRID’s SASH administrative and incentive budgets
- Maintaining robust tracking systems within internal cloud platform
Program Coordination with External Stakeholders
- Providing high-level program leadership with the CPUC and serve as point-of-contact for all program related questions & issues
- Managing subcontracts with implementation partners
- Organizing stakeholder workshops and public forums for program updates
