Full Time

$85,000.00 Salary/year
Statewide, As Needed
Daytime
Self-Directed Services

Description

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 2200 participant employers enrolled statewide, our Self-Directed Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with IDD in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to streamlining payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting processes is essential to helping us live up to our mission. And that matters to us.

As we build the future of self-direction in Maryland, the Self-Directed Services Manager of Accountability & Projects will be a key member of the Self-Directed Services division by supporting the Processing Operations Team with a variety of financial analysis, accounting activities, and projects focused on improving operations and compliance with the FMCS contract. The Manager of Accountability & Projects will work cooperatively with Processing Operations department heads on key financial activities and projects, supporting data reporting, special audits and reviews, the annual audit, and other compliance facilities. In partnership with the Director of Processing Operations, the Manager of Accountability & Projects will identify processing improvement opportunities, make recommendations for enhancements, and support process implementation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate excellent technical and analytical skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and a minimum of 3 years of senior accountant experience with skill sin facilitation of complicated, in-depth analyses of financial activities in an organization. A CPA/CMA and/or MBA would be a plus. The position comes with a competitive total rewards package, is based on-site at our Linthicum, Maryland headquarters and is eligible for moderate telework.
