Our company is in an exciting growth phase where we are launching new products and reaching new markets, and our finance and admin teams are building strong foundations to keep pace with that growth. We seek a Controller with an entrepreneurial mindset to be responsible for the day-to-day management of financial and accounting activities. Integral Molecular supports employee work/life balance with flexible work hours and telecommuting options; this position is expected to be on site about half time.

What you will do at Integral Molecular: 

Financial and Accounting

  • A/P and A/R oversight
  • Cash flow management
  • Banking activities
  • Financial reconciliations
  • Budgeting and financial planning
  • Coordination with external accountants and auditors
  • Coordination with tax authorities
  • NIH grants/contracts financial management and reporting

Administrative and Procurement

  • Oversee ordering/purchasing, controlling costs, and actively seeking cost savings
  • Administer purchasing budget, including both laboratory and office supplies
  • Payroll and G&A allocations
  • Monitor expense performance
  • Negotiate pricing agreements with vendors
  • Obtain bids for large dollar item purchases
  • Implement internal controls for risk management

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Qualified candidates should have an interest in learning and growing in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Aggressively detail-oriented with expert analytical thinking skills
  • Mastery of QuickBooks, Excel, and MS Office are required
  • BA/BS; MBA, CPA, or MS in business field preferred
  • Experience with non-profit NIH grants/contracts management is desired but not required
  • An understanding of scientific research is useful but is not required
