Konami Gaming is looking for an Accounting Specialist (Accounts Receivable) to join our team!

This position is responsible for processing several types of billing (i.e., parts, games sales, participation, etc.), new contract processing, credit verification on new customers, and monitoring the accounts receivable for all products including the accuracy for collecting on past due accounts. This person will maintain accounts receivable records including payments to customers' accounts. This position also requires the ability to act flexibly and multi-task while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing:

  • Generates fixed fee and revenue share invoices to participation customers, as per contract, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assists with contract installs and removals in conjunction with the service department to ensure accuracy of billing.
  • Ensures that performance (win per day) reports are received from customers. Contacts customers to obtain reports not received on a timely basis.
  • Reviews performance reports to verify that proper terms and taxes (where applicable) have been applied.
  • Processes new participation contracts by verifying the customer agreement and details in the participation module.
  • Responsible for applying customer payments, as needed.
  • Assists with credit reference verification.
  • Research and processes customer claims of invoice payment, charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
  • Processes sales orders and emails invoice copies to customers, as requested.
  • Calls and/or e-mails correspondence to customers as necessary.
  • Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.
  • Returns customer calls within 24 hours to resolve any billing issues and escalates to supervisor if needed.
  • Maintains accounts receivable files and customer files with copy of executed contract, installation/removal reports and billings.
  • Maintains General Ledger, prepare various accounting statements and financial reports, acts as backup to other Accounting and Finance staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we'll want you to have:

  • Associate’s degree (AA) in Finance or Business Administration, or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, or related, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to two years of related accounts receivable experience and/or training. Gaming experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written with all levels of the business.
  • Required to obtain and retain Gaming licensure(s).
  • Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
  • Accounting software certificates of completion; college level accounting courses. SAP, Pronto, Excel experience or spreadsheet/accounting functions and invoicing expertise.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time / 40+ hours per week. Must be flexible to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be comfortable working in an area with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at computer terminal for extended periods of time. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Must be able to work at assigned location to enable direct communications and interactions with team members, management, and others as necessary, unless traveling for a business-related purpose. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, paying attention to detail, and meeting assigned deadlines. Demonstrates high integrity, trust, and strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain excellent communication and a positive, respectful, and professional attitude and relationship with clients, employees, peers, co-workers, all levels of management, and all outside organizations conducting business or otherwise interacting with the company. Ability to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
  • Position shall work primarily in a smoke-free office environment. The noise level is low to moderate. Position shall maintain a cubicle or office in close proximity to other cubicles and offices.
