Data Projections, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join our team.This position will be responsible for the overall implementation and execution of audio visual integration projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. 

 

Summary

This position will be responsible for overseeing the Installation department for the local market to ensure all jobs are completed with optimal results in a timely and cost effective manner. Ensures a high level of customer service is provided to internal and external clients by supporting the organization’s strategic goals, while constantly measuring processes/procedures to improve the overall profitability of operations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of AV installations/projects including budgetary requirements
  • Liaison between sales, design, installation and client once project has been approved by client and processed through QA department
  • May be responsible for direct supervision of technical staff as well as motivate, praise, mentor and coach on performance issues
  • Complete weekly employee installation schedule
  • Manage project scheduling and identify and solve issues that will impact the project and schedule
  • Provide daily project updates/communication with Clients, Sales, Contractors and Design
  • Oversee and responsible for coordination of metrics/completion/updates of all installation projects
  • Participate in contract process and project administration when needed/required
  • Ensure that project deliverables and milestones are met including close out documentation and punch list items
  • Perform system level diagnostics, trouble shoot and report issues to Design Team as needed
  • Interface with External/Internal Clients and Manufacturers/Vendors
  • Attend construction meetings
  • Perform pre-installation site surveys
  • Oversee company van maintenance
  • Maintain and authorize/complete miscellaneous material stock/reorder
  • Quality control/check on finished product/projects including testing
  • Post project walkthrough with client communicating system performance to the customer
  • Possible assistance with actual installation of products/services when needed
  • Assist with product returns and change order process
  • Help define and work with management on AV installation best practices and refine associated procedures, templates, tools, and documentation
  • Support technical staff on training endeavors
  • May assist with interview process of technical staff
  • Provide effective communication by supplying updates/reports to Supervisor
  • Follow all safety guidelines of the Company and client requirements
  • Assure that technical staff is adhering to all safety guidelines of the Company and client requirements
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Education, Certification and/or Experience

Minimum high school diploma or GED - Degree preferred and 3+ years experience managing high level technical projects and crews, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Prior Hands on experience with technical installation of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of control systems a plus.

 

CTS-I, CTS-D certification is a plus. Experience leading and supporting AV projects preferred.

  • Experience in reading/understanding architecture, electrical, structural or AV systems drawings

  • Experience in managing crews and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple projects
  • Analytical and problem-solving/troubleshoot
  • Deductive reasoning skills
  • High level PC and Network knowledge
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Self-starter with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Have reliable transportation with the ability to travel – including possible out of town projects requiring hotel/multiple overnight trips
  • Ability to work day, evening or weekend shifts
  • Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must pass background and pre-employment screening

 

Physical Demands

  • Sitting for extended periods of time with long sessions at a computer
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
