Reports To: Jonathan Holsomback, Operations Manager

 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

The Sales/Marketing employee is responsible and accountable for all sales activities including but not limited to: Tradeshows, customer relations, maintaining advanced advertising & marketing tools, seeking out new markets and new customers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sales, Marketing, and Business Development
  2. Maintain a cohesive / team approach working environment with our Customer Service team and ensure the customer is always made first priority. Customer Service & Sales should ensure proper handling of accounts and support each other with ongoing communication, respect and learning
  3. Troubleshooting all customer concerns (material usage, product specs, failures, resolutions, education)
  4. Customer support (new & old customers, including house accounts)
  5. Assist with pricing, including forecasting and strategies, create, save & distribute price sheets
  6. Product development & testing
  7. Website design, layout, management, updates, as well as all other social media marketing
  8. Maintain ongoing knowledge of competitors product, pricing, other details
  9. Plan travel for and attend trade shows and meet with customers periodically to build/support positive working relationships
  10. Organize & administer product training classes
  11. Assist with credit application updates, processing, and regulations
  12. Work with General Manager to create terms and conditions when an application is approved or follow truth in lending practices when credit applications are denied
  13. Support in collections efforts
  14. Maintain positive customer relations & uphold company integrity through ethical practices and a positive attitude
  15. Marketing material design and set up
  16. Assist with training our expanding sales team
  17. Accurate and professional communication and representation of the company
  18. Attend applicable company related meetings
  19. Other duties that may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Education and/or Experience

  • Relevant secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years experience in a sales role preferred
  • Prior marketing experience preferred
  • Relevant office experience, including customer service
  • Valid State Drivers License

 

Travel

Up to 50% as needed

 

Computer Skills

Advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred and one year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Expected to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors, customers, and company associates.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
