Position Overview and Job Duties

Responsible for performing day-to-day responsibilities associated with the University’s Title IX, Title VII and ADA investigations, training with a particular emphasis on investigating allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship violence, and stalking allegations against students, as well as any employee grievances and any ADA grievances. This position will assist with trainings and presentations for the campus community and assist with administrative reporting related to federal, state, and UCO reporting. This position may work occasional nights and weekends to support the operational need of the office and the university.

Investigations & Case Management:

  • Assist with investigations of cases within the Title IX, Title VII and ADA Office.
  • Responsible for conducting prompt and thorough investigations for allegations brought against students, faculty, and staff related to sex and gender discrimination including allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking, as well as employee grievances and ADA grievances.
  • Work collaboratively with campus offices and community partners to resolve complaints and maintain accurate records of investigations.
  • Assist in the implementation of case management and supportive accommodations for students not seeking a formal complaint process.
  • Participate in on-going training required by state and federal law.

Training, Programming, and Outreach:

  • Assist with identifying training, prevention, education, and outreach needs for the campus community based on both current trends and state and federal law requirements.
  • Assist with the development of training, prevention, education, and outreach efforts for the campus community.
  • Assist with the implementation and assessment of training, prevention, education, and outreach efforts for the campus community.
  • Present on topics related to Title IX, Title VII and ADA to the campus community.

Title IX, Title VII & ADA Administration:

  • Assist with administrative responsibilities and reporting relating to federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to Title IX, Title VII, ADA, the Clery Act, VAWA, FERPA, and sexual violence.
  • Implement best practices and relevant and/or required changes into campus processes and responsibilities.

Qualifications/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in job related field plus 3+ years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications/Experience Preferred

  • Experience with Title IX as an Investigator
  • Title IX Investigator Training

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to effectively deal with sensitive and complex issues.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and evidence of success in working with individuals with diverse backgrounds.
  • Interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with campus community, including domestic and international students, to support an inclusive campus environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
