Job Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, public health, social services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completion of CCS’ California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services-certified Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training required (or must be completed upon hiring).
Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years working in the field of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or stalking or equivalent proven work experience with at least one (1) year experience counseling domestic violence and sexual assault victims within a Domestic Violence Organization.
- A minimum of one (1) year coordinating or providing supervisory support to volunteers in a nonprofit setting.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience conducting outreach and/or providing education on trauma and/or crisis-related issues to the public and groups.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience leading a project or program.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ hosting in-person and virtual training or demonstrated experience facilitating presentations or events to small to mid-sized audiences.
Preferred Experience:
- Bilingual/multilingual oral and written fluency
- Master’s degree in social work, public health, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Core Competencies:

- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, Access)
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Working Environment:
This position is hybrid-work eligible contingent on the operational needs of the department. It may allow for 2 days in person and 3 days remote but may be subject to change based on training and operational needs. This job operates in a professional office environment. Some outreach and off-site activities will be held in other locations regularly. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Working conditions may include possible exposure to communicable diseases related to those typically found in social services setting. Tuberculosis screening may be required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The incumbent frequently is required to stand, walk, go up and down stairs, stoop, bend, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to carry up to 50lbs.
Travel:
Approximately 20% travel may be required (within San Diego County and state-wide). Must have reliable transportation available for work-related purposes, a valid California driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance.
Work Hours:
The employee must be available during Agency working hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Frequent evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
