Position Detail

Ottawa University, Kansas (NAIA) actively seeks part-time (temporary) esports specialists (coaches and recruiters) for openings.  These positions will be responsible for providing recruiting assistance and/or remote coaching for selected esports titles within the Braves Varsity Esports Program which competes in a state-of-the-art esports arena.  We are actively seeking candidates with strong interpersonal skills, and specific esports title knowledge that will be used to effectively lead, coach and build team competitiveness and the overall success our program.  Many of these positions will be allowed to work remotely.  A limited number of positions are part-time and will be paid monthly stipends.  Additional positions are available for student scholarships and for individuals seeking an internship or volunteer opportunity to serve as an educational experience and career building opportunity.



A high school diploma is required. An earned bachelor’s degree or active progression towards a 4-year degree is highly preferred. Significant esports knowledge and experience is required.  We are currently seeking to fill positions with candidates who possess strong leadership skills and have a passion for the competitive, collegiate esports scene.  Candidates with a strong interest in pursuing a career in the esports field will receive priority consideration.  Expert gaming knowledge and the ability to provide strategic coaching and/or recruit to selected collegiate esports titles is required.  Possible position opportunities in Overwatch, Call of Duty, League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, CSGO, Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege. Additionally, the NAIA Champions of Character values must be instilled, modeled and enforced within the competitive esports environment.  A high level of accountability is expected of all members within all communication platforms and in the establishment and maintenance of a positive team culture.
