Position overview:

The Campaign Marketing Manager works closely with the Nearpod sales and customer success teams to drive and execute marketing strategy for new sales, customer expansions, and renewals. The Campaign Marketing Manager is a conduit for the go-to-market team to the rest of the marketing organization. They will help the sales and customer success teams develop and execute plays to achieve their territory objectives through a variety of tactics, such as email marketing, events, custom collateral, outbound call campaigns, and digital marketing. They will work with others in marketing, especially channel owners, to execute on these tactics, but will have end-to-end responsibility for territory campaigns. While this position is not in sales or customer success, the candidate will occasionally attend customer calls and meetings with their go-to-market team counterparts to provide product and market expertise and ensure they maintain deep market understanding.

 

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience at a K-12 curriculum or edtech provider

  • Deep experience and expertise in K-12 education, and understand relevant legislature, statewide initiatives, and district-specific dynamics impacting curriculum and instructional practices across the US

  • Understanding of marketing tactics and experience executing marketing programs

  • Customer centric (puts oneself in customers shoes, has an understanding for our customer)

  • General knowledge of how sales and customer success organizations operate and their success factors

  • Comprehension of the dynamics of a B2C2B  and SaaS business models (preferred)

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Translate Nearpod and Flocabulary value proposition, messaging, and approach for each region aligning to state and district-wide priorities, initiatives, and instructional practices

  • Support in-region B2C and B2B acquisition, expansions, and retention by working with Sales, Customer Success and Marketing channel owners (e.g., events, digital marketing, content/product, sales development representatives), as well as running certain campaigns directly

  • Help in-region go-to-market team select appropriate plays from the territory playbook and drive execution of these plays

  • Provide localized collateral and sales enablement tools (e.g., one pagers, case studies)

  • Attend customer meetings or calls (with sales and customer success) as an expert in our products and to gather deep customer and market knowledge 

  • Orchestrate in-region conferences / sponsorships working closely with the event marketing manager (e.g., pre and post marketing outreach, custom messaging/collateral, etc.)

  • Execute on campaigns for lead gen purposes which may include custom landing pages, webinars, outbound calling (with sales development reps), digital marketing, in person events, etc.

  • Provide feedback to Product Marketing Manager about needs from the field that may be universal needs or specific to a state or region

  • Act as conduit / entry point to Marketing for the go-to-market teams

  • Once travel becomes safe, occasionally travel to attend on-site customer meetings and events. Travel will be less than 20%.

 

Required skills & experience:

  • Experience working for a K-12 curriculum provider 

  • Experience in a marketing role

  • Experience working directly with sales and/or customer success teams

  • Undergraduate degree in education, business or related field

  • Conceptual problem solver who is able to take given inputs, and turn them into a creative and workable strategy

  • Highly organized (able to juggle many priorities, document, and communicate well)

  • Highly collaborative and able to manage a large number of stakeholders

  • Analytical (able to analyze campaign performance and apply learnings to future campaigns)

  • Very strong communicator with experience and comfort in presenting to groups

  • Strong copywriting abilities

  • Able to manage agency or designers to develop outstanding creative

  • Strong working knowledge of necessary systems is preferred: Pardot, Salesforce.com, Google sheets / excel, Google slides / PowerPoint
