Description

The Lead Technical Risk Analyst is responsible for leading a team of Technical Risk Analysts that provide bill pay fraud strategy and analytics solutions to BillGO clients. The Lead Technical Risk Analyst designs and tests fraud detection strategies within the BillGO risk monitoring tool for real-time identification of fraud trends and mitigate fraud loss. This is accomplished using business analytics tools to garner business intelligence insights about fraud trends and translate them to fraud risk solutions for BillGO. This role also develops and maintains reporting dashboards based on current data trends to monitor the fraud detection strategy performance, propose future solutions, and enhance current mitigation strategies.

The Lead Technical Risk Analyst mentors team members on analytical methodologies, rules management, client implementation process, and bill pay fraud trend analysis. This position has people management responsibilities and is involved in hiring and training new team members. Related managerial duties include assigning and delegating work, setting goals and providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.

Specific duties include: (1) analysis of data and create technical documentation to ensure the accurate development of solutions and fraud detection strategies; (2) maintains and creates dashboards to monitor the health of the company’s financial tools; (3) analyze and track various risk systems performance while creating reports on current risks; (4) creates and maintains presentations reporting on key performance indictors (KPI’s) for upper management; (5) analyzes consumer payment behavior using Python to gain insight into current fraud trends and potential financial risks; (6) develops and deploys solutions to mitigate fraud risks and financial loss; (7) improve and develop analytically driven risk models and rules to help mitigate fraud and compliance risks; (8) provides technical support for existing reports, dashboards, and tools; (9) performs data analysis while working with vendors on data inputs, systems upgrades, and third-party strategy management; (10) analyzes technology trends to identify opportunities for product development and improvement to enhance company’s financial and compliance tools; (11) works closely with BillGO Engineering and Product leads on Risk system enhancements, data feed recommendations, and data warehouse improvements to advance BillGO’s fraud management platform; (12) extract data from multiple sources using SAS, SQL and Python and developing portfolio performance dashboards in AWS QuickSight.

This position utilizes the following tools and technologies: Python, R, AWS Athena (SQL), AWS QuickSight, MS Excel, and SAS.

Position includes a telecommuting benefit within commuting distance to a Gahanna-area BillGO office, as directed.

This position requires a master’s degree or equivalent in Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance (with a concentration in Business Analytics), or a related field and 3 years of related experience with financial risk management. In the alternative, will accept a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance (with a concentration in Business Analytics), or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience with financial risk management. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) extract data from multiple sources using SQL and develop portfolio performance dashboards in AWS QuickSight; (2) analyzing and tracking risk systems performance metrics while creating reports of current risks; (3) develop and deploy solutions for mitigating fraud risks; (4) analyze financial transactions using Python to gain information about fraud trends; and (5) utilizing 3 of the following tools and technologies: Python, R, AWS Athena (SQL), AWS QuickSight, MS Excel, or SAS.
