SUMMARY
Avivo's Chemical and Mental Health division provides a continuum of integrated services, including access, clinical treatment, care coordination as well as mental and chemical health recovery support. We provide services that are innovative, person centered, strength based, and outcome driven. We strive for the highest quality of services using harm reduction based, culturally responsive practices in a trauma informed environment.
The Clinical Supervisor will coordinate clinical services with the Service Area Director and Vice President, CMH to include Targeted Case Management across Avivo both within the Community Chemical Mental Health and Ending Homelessness division. The Clinical Supervisor will be instrumental in fostering and supporting a collaborative and joint team with a goal of having one collective and united TCM team operating across Avivo. The Supervisor will be responsible for providing individual and group clinical supervision to clinical staff and case management staff, monitoring compliance of Targeted Case Management paperwork, reviewing and signing clinical documents, training new staff on best practices, and managing monthly billing of Targeted Case Management services, in collaboration with the Service Area Director/s, Program Managers, and Community Chemical Mental Health leadership under the direction of the Vice President of Community and Chemical Mental Health. The Clinical Supervisor will also provide clinical supervision to other clinical staff within Avivo as well as clinical groups to clinical trainees throughout Avivo, which may include a separate group for managers, who also meet the criteria for clinical trainee.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Supervision and Leadership
- Regular group supervision- minimum 1 time per month for teams. Regular individual supervision – minimum 1 time per month per staff. Ensure consultation and supervision is available and provided on a regular basis.
- Monitor documentation of all clinical documents under purview for accuracy and timeliness, with monthly review and reporting.
- Ensure onsite office schedule at 1826/1900 to provide supervision and address urgent client situations through both scheduled and as needed consultation.
- Provide coaching and clinical support in the field for case managers and program managers.
- Ensure each team member is appropriately trained through onboarding and ongoing training to effectively perform job scope and duties.
- Provide clinical training and development and ensuring best practices.
- May be asked to assist in other division–wide service areas depending on qualifications, including coverage as needed.
- Provide supervision to staff within Avivo working toward independent licensure.
- Provide clinical supervision groups to clinical trainees throughout Avivo as well as a separate group for managers, who also meet the criteria for clinical trainees. In accordance with board regulations and guidelines around group size.
- May be asked to assume supervision responsibilities for student interns.
Therapeutic services
- Carry a caseload of 3 or more clients. *Capacity will be discussed and decided on by Service Area Director and/or Vice President.
- Develop treatment plans based on needs determined within the diagnostic assessment process.
- Provide clinical services including individual, family, and group therapy through therapy techniques that meet state, professional and ethical standards for mental health 245i services as requested.
- Assess individual’s stability and level of service need in the recovery process. Assess individual needs and make appropriate referral and service coordination for community-based services.
- Complete crisis assessments and plans as needed.
- Coordinate care with internal and/or external providers as needed.
- Facilitate regular group supervision for managers separate from that of their staff.
