Description

The IT Administrator oversees all IT (Information Technology) functions related to Office 365 technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Defender, Entra, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and core applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. As a IT Administrator this individual will be responsible for basic domain management including GPOs (Group Policies) as well as basic desktop support for the employee workstations. This includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting performance issues, handling feature requests, and providing training on core desktop applications as well as managing the domain controller. Manage Exhibit Content change requests from curatorial department as well as assist in requests for custom content, graphics and branding changes for events.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide technical expertise in the design and development of Office 365 Applications, Domain Management, Printer Deployment and Staff Needs
  • Research new technologies and advise on purchases for the staff regarding processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.
  • Develop strategies to assess staff needs and identify Office 365 products that can streamline processes across various departments. Ensure IT tasks and projects are appropriately assigned and prioritized based on guests and staff priority.
  • Assist in planning of projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of the Operations Team.
  • Ensure the timely resolution of hardware and software problems associated with the data and voice network, employee workstations and O365 applications.
  • Provide after-hours support for planned maintenance, updates to technology, hardware and software changes during non-business production hours.
  • Manage Exhibit Content change requests from curatorial department in timely manner (Within 24 hours of requested changes)
  • This position requires shift work to ensure 24/7 operational support.
    1. Each member of the Operations/IT team is expected to work at least one Saturday per month.
    2. At least one Operations/IT team member must be on-site 30 minutes before the first guest arrives and remain 30 minutes after the last guest exits. All scheduled events will be divided equally amongst the Operations/IT Team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate(s) in office 365 technologies
  • 3+ Years in Office 365 Management
  • 2+ Years in SharePoint Management
  • 3+ Years in Domain Management
  • 1+ Years Desktop Support
  • Must obtain at least one new certification per year in a relevant technology (exam fees covered by the organization).
  • Excellent organizational and time management ability.
  • Very strong communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Physical Printer and Desktop Repair Skills
  • Ability to run, terminate, tone, tag and test Cat 5e/6 cables.
  • Ability to climb ladders,
  • Familiarity with A/V technologies preferred.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass a background check
  • Remain stationary approximately 4-5 hours a day; moves around for short periods of time throughout each day.
  • Stoops, bends, reaches and lifts occasionally throughout the day.
  • Able to operate standard hand tools, connect computer equipment (Monitors, brackets, Input Devices Etc.)
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Work under a moderate degree of stress during emergencies (Rare but do occasionally happen)
  • Some events may require working outdoors on rare occasions.
  • During peak seasons there will be episodic evening and weekend work required by all team member of the IT/Operations Team
