JOB SUMMARY

The Guest Experience Director is responsible for planning, organizing, training, scheduling and directing the volunteer groups associated with the Guest Experience Ministry, as well as being the primary first respondent to all Guest Experience communications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will provide oversight of volunteers.

DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

  • Effective administrative and organizational skills to support Guest Experience questions
  • Schedule and follow up with new volunteers
  • Have visible weekend presence which includes oversight of all areas of Guest Experience, including parking team, greeter team, auditorium team, coffee team, Information Central team, and Kids Guest Check In team
  • Provide prompt guest follow up and connection
  • Create an inviting culture within the campus and team while developing, training, and encouraging the Guest Experience volunteer team
  • Screen, train, and equip the Guest Experience volunteer team
  • Provide timely responses to questions and information requests via email, TPCC website, and, Information Central
  • Maintain knowledge of all ministries and departments of TPCC to connect guests to next steps
  • Maintain working knowledge of Planning Center Online, Shelby and ROCK Systems with accuracy and efficiency in completing tasks assigned
  • If a pastor, serve in rotations assuming normally expected roles of a pastor: weddings, funerals, hospital calls, teaching, general pastoral counseling, and premarital counseling as requested.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Serve under the oversight of and report directly to the Campus Pastor
  • Serve under the guidance of the Lead Guest Experience Director
  • Participate as a full member of the campus staff, attending such meetings as required
  • Work in close conjunction with campus staff, Guest Experience directors/ministers at other campuses and volunteers
  • Harmonious relationships with other staff members, facilitating inter-team collaboration and Kingdom collaboration between other churches and ministries.

  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Capable of coordinating efforts and collaborating with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for prolonged times during Sunday services

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Collaborate with Campus Pastor to ensure guests receive ongoing pastoral care.
  • Conduct pastoral visits to hospitalized guests and perform requested pastoral services such as baptisms, weddings, funerals and counseling.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3+ years of similar ministry experience
