Description

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communication, the Web and Social Media Manager strategizes, develops, designs, and publishes engaging multimedia content for the School's website, mobile app, and social media platforms, ensuring that content aligns with Kinkaid’s mission and core values,  student engagement, and strategic goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Manages the School's social media channels, developing and executing creative multimedia content strategies to support goals and effectively engages stakeholder communities both internally and externally
  • Supports reputation management of the School developing clear and consistent content grounded in our mission and core values
  • Ensures consistency and continuity in content between the Kinkaid website and mobile app
  • Consults and advises web content contributors across all of the School’s divisions, departments, and centers, providing guidance and assistance with content strategy development, design, editing, and brand and best-practice compliance to ensure that content is current, high quality, consistent, and strategic
  • Tracks, analyzes, and interprets analytics on user behavior for content strategy implications and provides reports and recommendations to Director as appropriate
  • Research trends and best practices  in web development and marketing, e-mail, and social networking
  • Work with the Content and Design Manager to coordinate student ambassadors and interns who assist with social media and web content development
  • Ensure ADA and non-discrimination compliance for web content
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in website strategy/design, marketing, writing, communications, journalism, or related field
  • Two or more years of full-time professional experience as a social media/website manager or similar role executing multimedia web and social media content strategy, development, design, monitoring, and audience engagement
  • Excellent knowledge of content management systems (Finalsite and Veracross a plus) and of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated skill in writing, grammar, and editing
  • Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly to technical and non-technical faculty, staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to craft content that creatively and effectively engages a wide range of stakeholders across platforms
  • Demonstrated skill in graphics, animation, and website design
  • Demonstrated skill in training and quality control
  • Ability to analyze data for content strategy development
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, maintain a consistent, timely presence across social media, and continuously update website and microsite content to create a dynamic online presence
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and Premiere Pro CC; Google operating systems; Meta Business Suite, and other social media and website planning and management tools
