Position Profile

 

Service leads the customer experience, and delivering an exceptional experience requires a unified front across the entire company. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the procurement, flow, and handling of materials from purchase to inventory in a high-mix, low-volume environment. The Supply Chain Manager manages the teams and drives the procedures, processes, and projects that maintain a balanced material flow from supplier to inventory that meets customer demand in a timely manner, while maintaining the inventory levels and accuracy in support of BEGA North America’s overall strategy.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Lead and manage the planning, purchasing, and logistics teams
  • Develop and drive projects that ensure a lean and accurate material flow from supplier to BEGA warehouses
  • Develops and maintains processes that ensure the timely update of relevant system data as a result of new product introductions, product retirement, and ECOs
  • Maintains lead time, safety stock, minimum order quantity, and other relevant system data that ensures the timely purchase or production of parts to satisfy customer demand while minimizing inventory.
  • Monitor material costs and storage costs
  • Monitor supply chain performance both inside and outside the factory, with a view toward continuous improvement and quality
  • Review and update supply chain practices per changing business practices, standards, or regulations
  • Monitor and appraise supplier manufacturing ability and performance
  • Perform employee reviews; take disciplinary action as necessary within company guidelines
  • Lead and participate in projects as assigned
  • Monitor key metrics as assigned
  • Lead the implementation of problem-solving and other continuous improvement opportunities in the purchasing, planning, and logistics areas
  • Champion and drive adoption of the BEGA Business System in assigned departments
  • Perform all other duties as directed

Salary Range

$91,800-$119,350 Annually depending on experience/qualifications reflects the negotiable range for hire. The top of the range, $146,000, is reserved for salary advancement and growth for this position.

 

BEGA North America is located in the heart of the picturesque American Riviera just south of Santa Barbara. Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

 

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  •  Must have 5 to 10 years’ experience in a supply chain manager role or related field
  • APICS certification
  • Experienced in the sourcing/procurement of machined and fabricated metal parts; lighting and/or furniture experience a plus
  • Continuous Improvement process training and experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings and or/schematics
  • Broad knowledge of ERP system functions; ERP implementation experience a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with procurement standards
  • Basic Knowledge of inventory control and management
  • Exceptional analytical and planning skills
  • Good understanding of Planning, Master Scheduling, and Capacity Planning
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Knowledge of database structures and SQL a plus
