We have a challenging opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to be a member of our Finance Department and support our team of engineers and scientists.


  • Works with Project Managers to prepare custom billing reporting formats in compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Support various Business Units and assist with billing processes, as needed.

  • Analyze and summarize project data in a variety of formats.

  • Finance Department backup for Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, as needed.


  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, including project billing and accounts receivable.

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.

  • Proficient with Excel pivot table function.

  • Extremely well organized and detail oriented.  

  • Familiar with contractual language and billing terms.

  • Ability to plan and multi-task to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to remain flexible to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Initiative and self-motivation, ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team player attitude.

Preferred Requirements

  • Project accounting or cost accounting experience within the engineering or professional services fields.

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or relevant degree.
