Job Summary

The North America Sales Director will play a key role in driving Onward Robotics’ revenue growth and expanding our client base in the North American market. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing a team of account executives, and fostering strong relationships with clients.

 

The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with a proven track record with managing and scaling teams selling automation or technology products. You are a doer at heart, while also possessing the EQ and process improvement skills necessary to manage a team to success.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share for Onward Robotics solutions.
  • Identify and develop new business generation processes to acquire new logos across various industries.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and implementation, to ensure seamless client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts, negotiating terms and closing deals effectively.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the executive leadership team highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Continuously assess and improve sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of distribution and fulfillment operations and related industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proficiency in negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to close deals effectively.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer engagement and satisfaction.

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in customer facing sales or consulting roles.
  • 5 years of experience successfully managing a sales team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and other sales tools to track sales activities, manage leads, and measure performance metrics.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.

 

Preferred Experience Requirements:

  • 5- 7 years or more of experience in selling technology solutions, preferably autonomous mobile robots, or related automation products.
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing a sales team in the industrial automation industry.

 

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or related field.

 

Preferred Education Requirements:

  • Master’s in Business Administration is a plus
