JOB SUMMARY
The procurement specialist is responsible for, but not limited to, purchasing essential materials, managing vendor relationships to stay current on market conditions, communicating lead times and delivery of products. They must be customer focused and take the lead in establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and making sure products meet company specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for following up on back orders and tracking orders
Receiving and Shipping in local office as well as inventory management
Process RMAs
Communicate status of orders and issues to internal staff and to customers
Manage open purchase orders to bring assurance of material delivery
Delivery of Software Licenses to customers
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares sales orders, creates tickets and projects, based on won business and issues purchase orders to approved vendors
Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
Responsible for entering time and expenses as it occurs
Professionally represent HPN to suppliers and end users
Maintain a strong partnership with key suppliers
Maintain CRM database with vendor contacts
Use analytical skills to be able to evaluate, identify, and implement cost savings for High Point Networks
Challenge current work processes for improvement.
Maintain performance progress and goals
Other duties as assigned
