Job Summary
Responsible for compliance with Organ, Eye and Tissue SOP’s and regulatory/accrediting agency policy/standards. Ensures timely and accurate review of eye and tissue donor charts, electronic medical record data and any other data entry and record reviews associated with  organ, eye and tissue donors.

Essential Job Functions:

-Work collaboratively with Organ, Eye and Tissue, and Quality Departments in order to ensure that all regulatory standards are met in reference to the donor chart and records

-Performs initial and/or final Quality Control review of clinical donor records post recovery.

-Investigates errors and/or discrepancies in the donor record, and follows up as needed.

-Ensures required clinical data has been collected and documented in all ConnectLife Organ, Tissue, and Eye   Services charts/EMR for accurate reporting and analysis of organizational performance measures.

-Documents and communicates the review of documentation findings to the appropriate staff members.

-Final review of records once staff members have corrected issues.

-Addresses tissue processor inquires in a timely manner.


Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Associates degree preferred in health care or related field


  • Prior experience with UNet-DonorNet and UNOS compliance reporting preferred.

  • Experience with tissue banking and AATB compliance preferred.

  • Two years of work related experience preferred.

  • Two years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication with a continuous focus on customer service.

  • Basic medical terminology required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and data entry required.

  • Must have a strong attention to detail, and work with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Must be highly organized with the ability to manage time appropriately, prioritize and multi-task.

  • Knowledge of data management preferred.

  • Must have patience and maintain focus through interruptions.

  • Must be able to remain professional while dealing with confidential information.

  • Experience with working in a collaborative team environment strongly preferred.
