Research Scientist – Molecular Biology ID# 05022023

Our company is in an exciting growth phase where we are launching new products, expanding our team, and reaching new markets. We seek a deeply scientifically curious scientist to join a diverse, interactive, collaborative, and highly supportive molecular biology team. The Molecular Biology scientist, under the supervision of the Molecular Biology Project Leader will join our team of researchers to create new constructs that are the cornerstone of all projects within the company. Everything starts with a plasmid!

In addition, this role will interact with other internal teams and partners to understand their projects and provide scientific guidance on appropriate scope of work using Integral Molecular technologies and platforms.

What you will gain from working at Integral Molecular:

  • Learn high-throughput design and cloning approaches

  • Develop insights into business models for product delivery in virology, antibody, and pre-clinical spaces

  • Gain a deeper understanding of virology and discover how Integral Molecular RVP technologies support critical vaccine development

  • Learn new techniques such as flow cytometry, protein engineering, and viral infectivity assays

  • Technical and team leadership opportunities

  • Ability to grow and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

What you will do at Integral Molecular:

  • Perform molecular cloning including high-throughput plasmid generation

  • Design plasmid constructs for the expression of viral and membrane proteins in support of customer projects and for the development of internal research priorities including epitope mapping applications

  • Design experiments and guide troubleshooting for testing expression constructs

  • Collaborate extensively with internal teams to design and develop experiments that ensure constructs meet customer and internal requirements

  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams on molecular design and plasmid construction

  • Mentor junior team members in support of their technical and scientific development
