Candidate Firefighter Process (Required for All Successful Applicants) Applicant Requirements-
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Drivers License
- Completed Physical - click here to download form
- Attendance of at least 1 Information session
Volunteer Program
- First Aid CPR
- Academy begins March 1, 2025
- 6 months of lectures and skills (Tuesday evening & Saturdays)
Tuesday classes are held at 7pm
Saturday skills begin at 8am
- Attain State Firefighters and Fire Marshals Association of Texas (SFFMA) Firefighter 1 certification by passing written exams
