Irrigation Technician - Wayne NE

Grossenburg Implement is a Center Pivot Irrigation dealership dealing in Reinke Irrigation systems and alike components. Job duties include performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Store Lead, and Shop Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service support in a timely and courteous manner with the possibility of weekend and after-hours service calls.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, structural, and electrical failures to center pivot irrigation systems.
• Communicate directly with equipment owners and operators.
• Handle diverse situations by maintaining customer/company relationship.
• Read and interpret electrical and structural service manuals.
• Track and report time and materials used on jobs using a work order system.
• Complete and submit all required service-related documents in a timely manner.
• Maintain Service Vehicle, both mechanically and cosmetically to promote company image.
• Maintain all parts, supplies, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Participate in company and manufacturer sponsored product training seminars.
• Prepared to work on agricultural and turf equipment as well as pivots.

• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs or related school experience.
• Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technician’s specialty
• Advance knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to lift at 70 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required: Associated degree preferred
• Willing to learn a 120v and 480v three phase systems
• Welding

Electrical certification is not required but is preferred.
