Masters Level Clinician, IAPP - Castleton, NY

 

ThClinician position will maintain a caseload of eight to ten youth and meet with each on a weekly basis, as part of the Positive Youth Progression program (PYP).  PYP provides six to nine months of home and community-based prevention services to youth who are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for troubled youth and avoid the juvenile justice system.

 

What a Master Level Clinician can expect:

  • As part of a clinical team, this position will identify and discuss the strengths, risk factors, and service needs that may impact the health and safety of the client/family, as well as develop treatment goals and methods.  This position is working in Rensselaer County and is housed in Castleton, NY.
  • The majority of client contact is face to face using COVID-19 protocols, with remote sessions as needed
  • Paperwork, case management, phone calls, meetings can be done remotely;
  • We anticipate that some mandatory work matters will require  presence in the office
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:30AM - 5PM; flexible schedule with evenings. Rotating on-call schedule.

 

Your Experience and Qualification:

  • Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, or equivalent from a graduate school program.
  • 0 – 2 years post-masters experience.
