Front of House Staff

Overview

Front of house staff ensure a seamless and quality customer experience for guests at venues. They greet guests, escort them to tables and are there to resolve any customer issues or complaints. Ensure that dining hall customers have an exceptional dining experience. They serve food and beverages, set and reset tables, and liaise with kitchen staff to ensure customers receive their orders.

There are various positions available for this role including support staff and bartenders.

Compensation: $18 - 23/hour (DOE)

Essential Responsibilities

  • Delivering food orders promptly to the designated tables from the kitchen.

  • Removing glassware, silverware, and dishes from tables once guests have finished dining or upon request.

  • Notifying appropriate personnel of any breakages caused by guests.

  • Escorting guests to their tables and presenting them with menus.

  • Taking and relaying food and beverage orders accurately.

  • Adhering to uniform standards, including professional hair and makeup.

  • Demonstrating strong verbal communication and memory retention abilities.

  • Exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude towards teamwork.

  • Maintaining composure, especially in challenging situations.

  • Maintaining physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Willingness to assist with additional tasks as required to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications

What You Need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

  • Must be at least 16 years old.

  • ServeSafe Food Handler Certification

  • ServSafe Alcohol Handling Certification preferred
