Description

The Facilities Administrator is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and technical expertise in managing all MTN buildings. Position will aggregate and manage the planning, design, and implementation activities of assigned projects to ensure operational-ready business solutions.  Additionally, this position helps define the deliverables, timelines, priorities, and milestones of all building related projects, and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure project success.  Position is responsible for maintaining multiple project plans/budgets and negotiates variations to resource commitments (financial, workforce, etc.) to ensure the successful implementation of maintenance and improvements.  This position will understand, champion and implement building and equipment requirements to meet business needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Responsible for oversight of the building maintenance team and/or third-party contractors.
  2. Responsible for MTN environmental monitoring process and system maintenance.  Ensure environmental monitoring records are reviewed and within tolerance requirements.
  3. Plans and coordinates all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
  4. Manages the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet regulatory, health and safety standards, including documented updates, issues and PM
  5. Inspects buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  6. Assists in the management of construction projects and improvements to the building.
  7. Reviews utilities consumption and strives to minimize costs.
  8. Controls activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  9. Allocates office space and coordinates office moves according to needs.
  10. In conjunction with the CFO and Corporate Attorney, handles equipment insurance plans and service contracts
  11. Ensures proper management of financial and non-financial records related to building operations.
  12. Performs analysis and forecasting based on anticipated demands.
  13. Responsible for oversight of cleaning and waste removal, including medical waste removal based on current organizational and OSHA practices and SOPs.
  14. Assists in the development of disaster recovery plans for anticipated and unanticipated facilities problems that minimize or eliminate disruption in daily operations.
  15. Coordinates lease renewals, maintenance, and repairs for all remote offices.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Undergraduate degree or higher in facilities management, engineering, business administration or relevant field required. Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) preferred
  2. A minimum of five years experience in facility operations or relevant position required. Experience in a hospital or surgical environment strongly preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  4. Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  5. Proven ability to lead a team, coordinate internal and external resources and achieve measurable results against goals.
  6. Detail oriented, organized, excellent tracking/reporting skills, effective written and verbal communication.
  7. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy.  Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines.  Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
  8. Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.
  9. Possess ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment.
  10. Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone.
  11. OSHA Category III – No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.
  12. Home internet and wireless phone access required.
