The full-time Associate Dean of Students and Assistant Director of DEIB position will have ongoing contact with and direct responsibility for the academic and social life of students on campus and will involve specific responsibilities that include advising and coaching one season or the equivalent. This is a ten-month position, starting in mid-August and ending in mid-June.
Roles & Responsibilities

Assist the Dean of Students (DoS) and Director of DEIB in all capacities of student life

Manage minor discipline cases with the DoS

Oversee attendance system; hold students accountable to the policies; notify parents and advisors

Assist DoS in implementing specific student academic support plans as needed in partnership with HLC and Grade Deans

Plan and execute community and social programming
-
Serve on the following committees:

Oversee student locker distribution
-
Work with the DoS, Director of DEIB, and Assistant Head of School for Student Engagement and Well-being (AHoS) to coordinate leadership development programming for students

Advise Student Government and DEIB Student Leadership Board

Support and develop programs and initiatives to ensure systemic and structural support for students, faculty, staff, and families regarding belonging, access, and inclusion such as:

Partnering with the US DEIB Coordinator to plan and implement DEIB-related school-wide programming

Organizing and leading affinity groups for students and faculty/staff

Supporting student organizations OMEGA, Isokan, and QUEST in their advocacy and activism

Serve as a primary support person and resource for international students

Serve as a co-teacher of Anti-Racism
-
Chaperone students at regional and national events such as the NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference, AISNE Student Conferences, and others
