Position Summary:

This position will require setup, maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and operation of Hematology analyzers. This position will test hematology products for homogeneity during the bottling process by following established methods.  The expectation for this position is to set up and test product on all laboratory instruments and troubleshoot as necessary within 12 months of hire. This position will adhere to safety regulations. Understand the basic ISO protocols and other applicable standards. Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret laboratory homogeneity testing on control products.
  • Proofread documents, labels, and assay sheets.
  • Perform manual testing on controls.
  • Evaluate Assay and QC runs for accuracy, acceptability, and consistency with established standards.
  • Work independently and as a team with minimal supervision on routine tasks.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple tasks with increased effectiveness.
  • Work with other departments at all stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance with the job.
  • Understand the basic ISO protocols and other applicable standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Position requires an MLT/MLS degree, bachelor’s degree in biology, or related field of study with 0-1 year of laboratory experience.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and test methods.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and multi-task to complete testing in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and perform with accuracy.
  • Ability to work hours that conform to standard business operations (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.).
  • Attention to detail, organization, and data analysis skills.
  • Data entry skills.
