Eastside Preparatory School’s vision is to inspire students to create a better world. Our mission is to guide students to think critically, act responsibly, lead compassionately, and innovate wisely. The four mission components guide the development of curriculum as well as the evolution of the EPS culture. Founded in 2002, Eastside Prep was re-accredited by the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) in January 2019. Eastside Prep has grown from 17 students in 2003-2004 to a projected total of 540 students for academic year 2024-2025.

Position Summary: Reports to the Upper School Head. Responsibilities will include developing curriculum and teaching within the sequence of Upper School Mathematics courses (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-calculus, Calculus, and Advanced Calculus).

All full-time teachers work as part of a teaching team to create an inquiry-based interdisciplinary program in which the academic disciplines are taught as systems and methods of thinking about significant content. Responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching, assessment, communication with parents, collaborative work with colleagues, and general engagement with the entire school.

Qualifications

Credentials and Experience

  • BA degree required; MA or PhD preferred
  • Mathematics teaching experience and familiarity with interdisciplinary curriculum preferred

Compensation

  • Our competitive salary range is $62,500 to $108,500, based on experience.
