We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.

Goddard Riverside is a well-established Manhattan community-based agency with an annual operating budget of approximately $ 50 million. Goddard Riverside is one of New York City’s leading human service organizations meeting the basic needs of children, youth and families, homeless people, and older adults across Manhattan and New York City.

#DegreesNYC is a data-informed collective impact movement co-led with young people to achieve education equity in NYC. It grew out of Goddard Riverside’s Options Center. For over 30 years, Options has supported young people and adults to complete college through educational counseling, training school and community professionals, and advocating on critical issues around equity in post-secondary education. In 2016, staff at the Options Center launched #DegreesNYC to address systemic barriers to racial and income inequities in the education pipeline to and through college and in 2020 #DegreesNYC launched its Youth Council. The goals of #DegreesNYC is that 60% of each racial and income group in NYC will have quality postsecondary credentials by 2030. #DegreesNYC operates through a vast web of coordinated councils, task forces and working groups.
