We are looking for an Event Manager to develop, execute, track and optimize engaging sales and customer events. If you are highly detail-oriented, love finding creative ways to surprise and delight attendees, and thrive in behind-the-scenes planning; this position is for you.

The ideal candidate for this role is service-focused, has a strong grasp of current marketing tools and can lead integrated marketing campaigns across live, virtual, and hybrid event formats. This role directly supports our sales team during tradeshows and our customer experience during roadshows and conferences. The event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. You’ll contribute fresh ideas to surprise and delight attendees and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.

You’ll work with the marketing team, internal departments, and vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget. At Qgiv you will be a part of the conversation, working with key stakeholders to implement new marketing activities to drive demand generation and customer engagement.

Substantial Department Goals

What to Expect (Actions)

  • Oversee execution of annual user conference including website content and theme, show schedule, speaker selection, presentation development, sponsorship program, marketing outreach to drive attendance, contract negotiation, hotel BEOs and logistics, and onsite management of attendees and employees
  • Identify and recommend relevant tradeshows, sponsorships, and regional conferences that will elevate the brand and drive quality leads
  • Coordinate customer events, industry sales tradeshows, and speaking engagements; booking relevant travel, logistical arrangements of onsite presence, and developing event guidelines for staff
  • Represent brand and company at events
  • Contribute to the development of creative and relevant promotional copy for event marketing programs
  • Continuously evaluate and implement strategies to improve event impact and results
  • Work with internal and external partners to drive efficiency and scale for event programs
  • Manage annual budgets for all events and supporting activities and materials
  • Maintain inventory of promotional items and swag required for event support
  • Collect and report on event feedback, outcomes, and ROI

What you need to be successful (Requirements)

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Event Management, or similar field
  • 5+ years of event planning experience within a software/SaaS organization
  • High-energy and proactive self-starter, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking to solve problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in execution and project management.
  • Understanding of event KPIs and metrics
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to work with marketing and sales professionals, and ability to prioritize numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Experience building and delivering of field marketing campaigns and events.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing and sales-serving tools (Hubspot, Salesforce, Google Analytics)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills a must. Strong influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
