Reports To: Jonathan Holsomback, Operations Manager


FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Compensation: Hourly



The Production Manager is accountable for all items pertaining to Production and Team Members including but not limited to: overall production efficiency and output, quality and productivity management, including employee and production scheduling to maximize efficiency and output, inventory management, overall housekeeping and safety of work area and personnel related items including upholding company policy/procedures including disciplinary action, training & development. The Production Manager at the Ocala is also responsible for the oversight of the facility, contents and machinery on the property.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Complete knowledge and understanding of raw material, production processes and finished goods
  2. Oversee production as a whole, including product quality, size and packaging
  3. Assist and/or perform preventive maintenance and/ or repairs on tools, equipment and oversee general housekeeping/safety of facility and machinery
  4. Oversee storage, organization and upkeep of raw lot, production equipment & material storage buildings
  5. Demonstrate/uphold company policies, procedures and guidelines, including applicable disciplinary action
  6. Foster and exemplify team leadership within the company, promote positive team environment
  7. Oversee all employee related issues & paperwork (including supervision)
  8. Recruit / assist with recruitment process and retention of employees
  9. Supervision of Team Leaders/Trainers and Production Team Members, including training and development for new and existing employees
  10. Collaborate with, and effectively/timely communicate with applicable departments as needed
  11. Proper and timely completion of production and personnel related items, including production reports, time off requests, reviews, etc.
  12. Attend, and contribute in a positive fashion, all required company related meetings and events
  13. Proper accident and injury protocol, including documentation, applicable testing, reporting and follow up, including any applicable disciplinary action
  14. Follow all guidelines set by General Manager and/or Operations/Plant Manger
  15. Plan, evaluate and improve the efficiency of production processes to enhance speed, quality and output
  16. Knowledgeable of all responsibilities required of direct reports
  17. Safe operation and training of forklift and other necessary equipment and machinery
  18. Timely notification of ancillary products (CC, pallets, covers, etc.)
  19. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma required, Relevant secondary education (college degree/certificate) helpful
  • Previous work experience in management or related field 3-5 years preferred
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • General maintenance/mechanical knowledge preferred
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Experience in operational planning, forecasting & evaluation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • OSHA certification / experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
