Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity and respect.

In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Program Director, assists in the provision of client care for persons served. The program’s goal is to provide services to more individuals from Fairfield County with SUD and COD so they may receive housing, addiction, and mental health services in order to decrease homelessness and illicit drug use including individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, sexual and gender minorities communities.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (some flexibility required)

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Assess and record medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to the individual’s unique circumstances, including an assessment of strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
  • Plans and records the individual’s progress with regard to finances, employment, nutrition, basic needs, housing, physical and mental health wellbeing, including any identified substance use disorders.
  • Assertively links person served to community resources and other natural supports.
  • Serve as advocate for clients in obtaining necessary services.
  • Attends and actively participates in appropriate case management and treatment team meetings.
  • Records and monitors recovery plan and performs follow-up to determine quantity and quality of service provided client.
  • Assists in creating a sense of community through tenant council meetings, special events, the facilitation of groups, etc.
  • Facilitates groups for tenants as deemed appropriate by Program Director.
  • Adheres to RNP standards of documentation.
  • Compiles, prepares and submits reports in a timely manner.
  • Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor

Qualifications

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences and two (2) years’ experience in case management preferred. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Co-occurring competencies and or credentials are preferred along with knowledge of homelessness and addiction and mental health services.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, and interventions.
  • Ability to facilitate groups and provide case management services to individuals.
  • Knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships with clients, colleagues and supervisors.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to project a professional image.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES

Incumbents may be required to secure professional certification and/or license. Valid Connecticut driver's license may be required
