Position Status: This position is a salaried, exempt, full-time, regular, 10-month position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching experience at the elementary level; advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partnering with another lead teacher in the classroom
- Creating differentiated learning experiences aligned with assessments
- Teaching an intentional social and emotional learning curriculum
- Contributing to interdisciplinary curriculum design and student support strategies
- Participating in the Lower School PLC (Professional Learning Community)
- Ensuring student safety by supervising recess, lunch, and transitions
- Providing feedback on and evaluation of students for Admissions
- Attending scheduled committee and faculty meetings, both during and after-school
- Contributing to the larger school community through coaching or sponsoring

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; talk and hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the regular business day. Overnight and out-of-area travel may also be required.
