COMPETENCIES: Should have a strong grasp of safety and security best practices that employ non-lethal force, including de-escalation methods. Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively with every department, office and constituency of the university, including employees, students, guests and visitors. Must be organized and detailed in security related data and report writing. Should have general knowledge of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and security based software and systems. Should maintain updated training and certifications as required by the position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in criminal justice preferred. Relevant experience providing customer based security and/or law enforcement experience will also be considered. Preference given to those with security experience on a college campus.
