The Marketing Coordinator (Temp) will support social media, and influencer marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, creative and ambitious individual. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among clients through social media and influencer marketing. This temporary position will report to the Sr. Manager, Social Media + Influencer Marketing.

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with design and execution by creating highly engaging content (images, gifs, and video editing) for social media campaigns and emails

  •  Build monthly social media calendars with relevant content, teacher tips, and daily instagram stories based on timely events and campaigns

  • Interact with all followers by communicating, engaging, and answering questions through company’s social media channels (Twitter/FB/Instagram/FB groups/DMs) and our Social Media email inbox

  • Create, promote, plan and recruit hosts for the weekly Twitter #NearpodChat and monthly #FlocabChat 

  • Conduct research to source influencers in particular niches and vet promising influencers that are aligned with our brand

  • Help maintain relationships by keeping up to date with influencers on social media

  • Develop wrap-up reports for influencer content (capture social media posts, log testimonials, gather impressions)

  • Assist with live and online events to promote company and increase attendance

  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in pursuit of) 

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a passion for storytelling and out of the box thinking to promote products in a unique and creative way

  • Proficient in Photoshop, Canva and has used social media scheduling software such as Sprout Social in the past

  • Very comfortable talking in front of a camera authentically and enthusiastically

  • Creative self-starter with strong attention to detail, problem solving capability, who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines in order to juggle multiple projects at once while having the ability to quickly pivot to meet the needs of our fast social feeds and trends 

  • Thrives in working in a fast-paced startup environment where agility is necessary as we continue to improve on processes/procedures to better handle our growing customer base

  • Willing to learn or already have knowledge of “teacher language”

  • Not required, but teaching experience, familiarity with the edtech space, and/or a former teacherpreneur is preferred
