The executive steward oversees staff responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen(s) or other food preparation areas. Assists in cleaning equipment or food preparation areas as needed.
The job of an executive steward is to manage non-food production areas within a kitchen such as the dishwashing and storage areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Washing pots, pans, and dishes, and cleaning floors throughout the kitchen.
- Organizing storerooms such as walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas.
- Trash removal.
- Assist in putting away deliveries, and light food prep.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested or required.
