Description

The Climbing Wall Installation & Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation department.  This position plans and schedules installation trips and serves as a technical resource both internally and externally.  This position also designs climbing walls.  It includes travel to supervise, install, and repair Everlast Climbing and Dero products.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Promotes the Company’s mission and values-based culture through the following:

 

  1. Manages and develops installation crews through hiring, training, monitoring performance, setting expectations and providing goals/feedback..
  2. Designs large, custom climbing wall projects.
  3. Assists with installs and repairs, as needed.
  4. Maintains the installation calendar in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
  5. Prepares materials and tools as needed for each installation job.
  6. Coordinates with production staff and shipping companies to ensure on-time delivery to job sites.
  7. Coordinates with customer to ensure job site is properly prepared for installation.
  8. Ensures that install team communicates install dates with customer.
  9. Handles all Customer Service in regard to installation, including communication with Everlast and Dero production departments.
  10. Conducts on process and project improvements.
  11. Oversees installation and work safety programs.
  12. Provides job costing and assistance to the sales team.
  13. Approves weekly time cards and expense reports.
  14. Submits monthly installer per diem information to accounting team.
  15. Interfaces with external engineer to ensure proper install method.
  16. Coordinates all installations to a high standard of quality and safety.
  17. Travels 20% - 30% of the time to assist with installations and repairs. 
  18. Monitors the profitability of the install department, including efficient trip planning and cost controls.
  19. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Previous hands-on construction experience
  • Previous project management experience
  • Previous management experience

Travel

20-30% of the time

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

 

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

 

Computer Skills

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM systems.  Highly proficient on CAD and Solidworks software. .

Physical Demands

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently walk, reach, stretch, climb and use tools. The employee will lift and/or move 50+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

                                                                                

Work Environment

Production floor, office setting, and job site.  PPE may be required at times.
