ThermoWorks is looking for an Electrical Engineer to be a critical member of our cutting edge Product Development team. As part of this team you will be responsible for design, development, modification and evaluation of electronic parts, components and integrated circuitry for electronic equipment.

 

**This position is required to work onsite**

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work on electrical system design, theory and operation

  • Work on major development projects

  • Design, implement, and test printed circuit boards

  • Work with other development teams to release circuit board design into production

  • Test, research, and develop new projects, including the following technologies: thermistors, thermocouples, RTD sensors, PID controllers, strain gauges

  • Work with general software and embedded design

  • Work and collaborate with an agile development team employing standard tools and processes such as version control, unit testing, and work backlogs

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

  • 5+ years of hardware development experience, including full life cycle and design-to-delivery experience

  • Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping of hardware, including utilizing dev kits, 3D printing, and embedded software

  • Full product life cycle experience, including brainstorming, product prototyping and realization, design for manufacturing

  • Experience with PCB design and layout

  • Experience with embedded system design, including processor selection, communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, etc.), extremely low power design, sensor integration, and multi-radio integration

  • Experience with RF technology and RF design, especially for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

  • Experience with temperature measurement sensors
