GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY
Setup and Operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on metal or
plastic work pieces.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Read and understand Engineered prints and manufacturing routers.

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills from work instructions, including work and tool offsets.

Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to print specifications, using micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.

Make “Tool offset” adjustments as necessary to fix out of tolerance conditions.

Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Manager.

Keep work area, machines, and tooling clean.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes, Haas CNC mill, and Swiss CNC lathe w/barfeeder.
- Read blueprints and measure parts using mics, calipers, depth gages, etc.
- Read G&M code and do basic edits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED) minimum. Skilled training within 2-year program or additional machining courses highly desired. 2+ years’ experience with CNC operator / setup.
