Position Overview:

Nearpod is seeking a results-driven marketer to join our mission-driven company as Director of Demand Generation. You will lead our demand generation and field marketing team and report to the VP of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned B2B Marketer with a proven track record of building sales pipeline using a variety of lead generation, lead nurture, and account based marketing (ABM) tactics. 


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high performing team responsible for ABM, B2B demand generation, lead nurture, lead scoring, sales enablement, and customer success enablement

  • Help Nearpod reach its school and district sales, retention, and expansion goals through broad and territory specific marketing programs across a variety of channels such as email, digital advertising, events, and partnerships

  • Hold responsibility for achievement of US and International Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) and Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) targets for Nearpod and Flocabulary products

  • Collaborate with growth team to strategically build and engage pockets of teachers to support school and district sales, renewals, and expansions

  • Consult with Growth team and digital marketing agency to input on paid lead generation through social and other performance marketing channels

  • Constantly test, learn, and optimize


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; MBA a plus

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing with direct responsibility for building and nurturing sales pipeline, ABM, lead scoring, and sales and customer success enablement

  • Experience with SaaS, education, B2C2B, freemium models a plus

  • 3+ years of direct management experience

  • Proven track record of meeting goals in delivering B2B sales pipeline through demand gen marketing

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive influence within the organization 

  • Highly analytical and experienced in analyzing the effectiveness of demand generation programs

  • Deep understanding of best practices in sales pipeline building, lead scoring, lead nurturing programs

  • Experience with Pardot and Salesforce a strong plus
