Remote Home Office

Position Summary:

The Trade Sales Channel Manager will be an experienced, results driven, and successful sales professional who will provide expertise for sales across multiple channels.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the sales and channel distribution for assigned accounts.
  • Nurture existing accounts by building relationships with established contacts, uncovering all relevant buyers, and grow the book of business.
  • Prospect for new customers to grow our account base and expand our reach.
  • Bring a strategic mindset to analyze account performance and identify focus areas.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with responsive account management.
  • Gain a deep understanding of TCMs product offering in order to sell effectively and gather feedback from customers.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA required.
  • 5+ years in professional sales in educational sales, trade sales, or related markets, preferably within the publishing sector.
  • Highly articulate, solid communicator and fast learner.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong business and technical knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven success negotiating large deals within the education, library, and trade space.
  • Proven success as an account executive/sales manager in previous roles.
  • Energetic, self-starter with strong work ethic and excellent track record of success.
  • Experience using a customer relationship management database.
  • Some travel is required via automobile and airplane. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and a CRM (Salesforce a plus).

Physical Requirements:

  • Some travel by airplane and automobile.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. when traveling and/ or carrying materials to and from sales meetings and destinations.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.

Work Conditions:

Home office, 10% travel.
