YARD DRIVER

Salary: $16.00 - $19.00/hr.

Hours: Sunday - Friday

10:00PM - 6:00AM

Objective: The Yard Driver is responsible for moving tractor trailer to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas. Assure all trailers are properly staged in shipping and receiving door.

Safety Requirements: Trailer Spotter training will be required upon hire.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect trailers and perform yard checks
• Fuel reefer trailers
• Perform trailer sanitation on all trailers
• Pre-stage route ready trailers for shipping
• Make sure all trailers are running properly (cooling off)
• Assure all steps and procedures are properly followed in our Trailer staging SOP
• Work closely with shipping and trucking maintenance
• Report to our VP of Transportation and veteran yard driver when issues arise
• Power wash & sanitize trailers per our SOP standards

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Class A CDL Licenses strongly preferred. Experience driving yard jockeys/tractors and tractor trailers preferred. Yard driver test will be taken upon interview, driver must pass.
