The Accounting Intern will support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and data analysis. The intern will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records, support month-end closing processes, and assist in the preparation of financial reports. This position is anticipated to start in January 2025.
Job Functions
- Assist with the preparation and entry of journal entries into the accounting system
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Help maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions
- Maintain financial records, including electronic filing and document management
- Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for audits
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Assist with the preparation of schedules and reports for internal and external audits
- Help monitor and analyze company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval
- Assist with expense reports and cost analyses
- Participate in special accounting projects as assigned by the accounting team, including process improvement initiatives
- Conduct research and analysis to support the accounting team in decision-making
- Engage in learning opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Attend meetings and training sessions to gain insights into the overall financial operations of the company
Preferred Talents
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
