Description

Cornerstone Care is seeking a Vision Receptionist for our  Hopwood Office to answer incoming calls, and perform efficient and accurate processing of patient visits, including insurance verification, registration, scheduling, payments, and checkout while maintaining positive patient/visitor relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Communicates effectively with a broad range of patients, community and organizational members.  Must be highly organized and able to multi-task as necessary.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•        Answers phones and schedules Appointments

•        Checks patients in and out

•        Checks insurance eligibility 

•        Collects all patient information

•        Assists patients with contact fittings and frame and lens selections

•        Measures for lenses

•        Collects copayments

•        Enters Llb orders into NextGen Optical Management 

•        Prepares frames for shipment to lab

•        Delivers packages to the post office

•        Enters claims for frames and lenses on insurance portals

•        Receives completed lab orders and notifies patients

•        Enters all glasses into Optical Management when received from other offices

•        Dispenses glasses to patients and makes frame adjustments 

•        Repairs patient glasses 

•        Keeps frame boards stocked

•        Sanitizes frames after patient use

•        Contacts vendors for replacement frames

•        Orders contact lenses

•        Assures all charges are entered correctly

•        Runs and reconciles daily reports

•        Balances cash box daily and makes deposits 

•        Makes daily confirmation calls to patients

•        Scans all patient documents into patient charts

•        Submits multiple insurances on the insurance websites 

•        Corrects billing issues within the Nextgen system as directed by billing.

•        Contacts the Labs to verify and correct issues.

•        Works directly with billing department to correct any billing issues

•       Travels to other offices for coverage, when needed

High School Graduate or equivalent with related training or commensurate experience. Strong communication skills. Ability to work in settings independent of immediate supervision. Proficiency in office computing and information management technology. Ability to accurately record data. Ability to rapidly assimilate and effectively disseminate information.
