Northern Rivers Family of Services invites you to be part of the mission-based team helping children in crisis for over 190 years! The Clinical Social Worker/LMSW position in our Intensive Aftercare Prevention Program (IAPP) in Hudson NY maintains a caseload of just 8-10 youth, meeting with each on a weekly basis, as part of the Positive Youth Progression program (PYP).  PYP provides six to nine months of home and community-based prevention services to youth who are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement, with the program goal to prevent out of home placement and avoidance of the juvenile justice system. 

What a IAPP Clinical Social Worker with Northern Rivers can expect: 

  • As part of a clinical team, this position will identify and discuss the strengths, risk factors, and service needs that may impact the health and safety of the client/family, as well as develop treatment goals and methods. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community health, social services agencies and wellness entities as an advocate to assist the client with their program goals. 

  • This position is working with clients in Greene County, but based in Hudson, NY. 

  • The majority of client contact is face to face using COVID-19 protocols, with remote sessions as needed. Paperwork, case management, phone calls, meetings can be done remotely. 

  • We anticipate that some mandatory team functions will require presence in the office. 

  • This position does offer a Flexible Schedule in regards to client scheduling. 

What a Masters Level Clinician can expect:

  • Work as part of a clinical team to identify and discuss the strengths, risk factors, and service needs that may impact the health and safety of the client/family.
  • Develop treatment goals and methods, and help ensure they are met.  

Your experience and qualification:

  • Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling or equivalent from a graduate school program that is registered by the NYS Department of Education as licensure-qualifying.
  • 0 – 2 years post-masters experience
