Grant Writing & Programs Specialist

Mission

  • We empower healing for individuals who were sexually abused as children or adolescents through retreats, support groups, and online education and resources. 
  • We educate and engage parents and caregivers to protect children from sexual abuse through community and online resources. 
  • We drive awareness to motivate individuals to take action against child sexual abuse. 

Responsibilities

The Grant Writing & Program Specialist will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing grants to ensure the continuation and success of our non-profit initiatives. This role involves a strong focus on articulating our mission and programs' impact through compelling grant proposals. This position is an excellent fit for an individual who is passionate about building long-term social change and who is energized by collaborating with diverse stakeholders, systems building, and developing written work product with a focus on strong outcomes.

Essential responsibilities for this role include the following:

  • Prospect and secure grant opportunities that align with Saprea’s mission and services.
  • Craft well-written, persuasive grant proposals and ensure timely submission.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of grants, including application, administration, and comprehensive record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ensure data tracking and compliance reporting for grant-related requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate efforts with larger fundraising team. 
  • Collaborate with all staff to understand the needs and objectives of each program.
  • Manage relationships and communications with program stakeholders and partners.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data to determine the effectiveness of programs.
  • Create reports on the impact of programs for donors and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in Saprea’s outcomes research and analysis, as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all HIPAA, healthcare, and risk mitigation policies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven experience in grant writing with a track record of securing funding.
  • Familiarity with data entry and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with non-profit program administration.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong sense of ownership and prioritization.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of community-serving agencies within the intermountain region.
