Automotive HVAC Installer

Overview: Endera is actively seeking a motivated full time Automotive HVAC Installer for our manufacturing facility in Ottawa, Ohio. This position is responsible for the assembly and installation of components in gas and electric powered buses.

General Responsibilities:

• Installation of all components in Automotive A/C Units. 
• Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools.  
• Must be able to use simple/basic math, and basic hand-held measuring tools. 
• Perform daily scheduled maintenance and clean up procedures in department. 

• Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned department.  

• Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English. 
• Close attention to detail. 
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis. 
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Notify supervisor of any quality issues, maintenance and machine failure issues and assist as needed.

• Combination of office and shop environment.
• Exposure to elements such as dust, odors, oil, fumes, heat, cold, chemical, metal shavings, and noise.

• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
• Occasional lifting of items not exceeding 50 lbs.

Minimum:

• Must be able to read, learn, understand, and interpret drawings, blueprints and other instructions written or verbal to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of shop and automotive tools
• Must be able to use simple/basic math, and basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 - 3 years of related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Mechanical/automotive repair
• Experience in Production, or Light Manufacturing desired

Preferred but not required:

• 3+ years’ experience as auto mechanic
• Specialized vocational/technical training
• Associate degree in automotive technology
• Industry Certification(s)
