Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Production Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC machining operations or possess a fresh college degree in an engineering discipline with a solution-oriented mindset. The CNC Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the CNC production process, ensuring quality standards are met, optimizing productivity, and leading a team of operators across 3 shifts to achieve production targets.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring a subordinate group across 3 shifts in multiple machining centers.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate CNC machining operations to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Oversee a team of CNC machine operators, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Monitor production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and customer demands.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures in the CNC production area.
  • Optimize CNC machine utilization and minimize downtime through effective scheduling and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize CNC programs and improve production processes.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job orders, inventory levels, and machine maintenance logs.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in CNC machining.

 

Qualifications:

For Experienced Candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in CNC machining operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

 

For Fresh College Graduates:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining principles and processes gained through coursework or internships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in CNC machining operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to sit and walk.  The employee is occasionally required to bend and stoop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
